VRoomz Outreach Bus

Halton Youth Service

The mobile youth bus, known as VRMZ (Virtual Roomz), was launched by Halton Borough Council using money from the Department for Children, Schools and Families’ (DCSF) Youth Crime Action Plan.

The bus tours hotspot areas in Widnes and Runcorn on Friday and Saturday nights, moving around every six weeks to make sure that young people across Halton get the chance to use all the facilities the bus has to offer.

Halton’s youngsters who climb on board the bus can play on an Xbox, listen to music, surf the internet or simply relax with friends. They can also make use of a whole range of counselling services, including alcohol and sexual health advice - Youth Workers will be on board to support young people/engage them in activities and signpost them to other services.
